DESCRIPTION:The Wine Opener is a national wine tasting series to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Locally\, The Kansas City Wine Opener will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday\, August 31\, 2017 at Union Station\, located in downtown Kansas City. The Kansas City Wine Opener is a relaxed\, yet lively\, evening for over 700 guests.

In 2004\, the Massman Family and the Freeman Family started the Wine Opener in Kansas City to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Since that time the event has grown to over 700 guests and over 30 food\, wine\, handcrafted beers\, and spirits tasting stations. The event includes a silent auction\, a live artist\, photo booth\, wine wheel\, and other exciting activities.

From wine novices to advanced wine enthusiasts\, The Wine Opener is a casual and fun evening for all experience levels!  SIP GREAT WINES poured by international and domestic wineries. SAVOR GREAT CUISINE presented at festive tasting stations where the area's hottest chefs prepare their specialties just for you.
