Robert L. Riekhof

“Having over 30 years in hospitality management and ownership, I have been with La Bodega since 2012. I spent over 15 years as GM and Managing Partner of Classic Cup Café on the Country Club Plaza before moving on to Atlanta Bread Company where I was a franchisee with two Kansas City locations. I love building personal relationships with our guests and motivating my employees makes me tick.”

“I started in my mom’s kitchen at the age of 4. At the age of 13 I moved into professional kitchens and until my late teens, when I discovered a passion for photography. I jumped back into the restaurant industry by joining the BOH team at Morton’s Steakhouse, where I spent 7 years until I was promoted to Sous Chef. I moved to La Bodega in 2008, and have been the Executive Chef at The Originale location ever since. After nearly 20 years in the industry, I love making people happy, but I love food more. It’s always bacon, though I was a vegetarian until I was 17.”
